Domo Invades 7-Eleven Stores – Eat Me Daily
October 6, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Some marketing/branding/packaging design geniuses working for 7-Eleven have finally figured out a way to make me want to go into one of the stores (not out of necessity on a road trip, anyway). I don’t know if I want to DRINK 7-11 coffee, but I’d pay the 99 cents for the cup! Same goes for the hot dog packaging.
They even made a “mini site” with webisodes about Domo at 7-Eleven to introduce consumers who may not be familiar with the character. And the videos are funny and cute even for those of us who have seen him before.
A spokesman for 7-Eleven explained the Domo invasion is simply because customers “love crazy Japanese shit”. Whether or not that’s true, I’m not sure THAT is the kind of crazy Japanese shit most 7-Eleven customers watch videos of on the internet most frequently….
P.S. Eat Me Daily is a fantastic site; you should check it out!

Say it: (QUEET-la-coh-chay)

I’ve had it, in Puebla, MX last spring. Tastes like mushrooms (‘cuz it is one, duh).
